Canadian Weather

Questions (worries) about Canadian weather are so common that we opted to discuss it straight from the get-go. Bluntly speaking, if you can't put up with occasional spells of cold weather, then Canada is not for you.
But before dismissing Canada on account of snow, note that 90% of the Canadian population live within 100 kilometres of the southern border (shared with the United States). As the chart below demonstrates, weather conditions in most cities are relatively similar to those in New York City, Chicago or Seattle.
