Students

Let us both manage your student permit application for a trouble-free process and help you along the path towards permanent residency and Canadian citizenship.

Each year, about 70,000 students come to Canada to learn in one of our outstanding post-secondary institutions with a host of private and public curriculums ranging from a one-year program in art design to a doctoral degree. English as a second language (ELS) programs are also popular with both students and foreign workers.

In the majority of public schools, students may seek on-campus employment without a work permit. After a set period of time, students in public systems may seek off-campus employment on a part-time basis if they maintain a satisfactory grade point average and if the job is in their field of study.

A student permit is required for any program that is more than six months in length. If studying in the province of Quebec, students also need a Certificat d’acceptation du Québec (CAQ).
