Visas Canada : Quebec Skilled Worker - Quebec Certificat de Selection

Visas Canada:
Quebec Skilled Worker
For as low as $599!

One of the least known Canadian visas, the Quebec Skilled Worker program, can bring you to Canada on a permanent basis without securing a company or family sponsor. The Quebec Skilled Worker program has five basic requirements: You must pass a rigorous point assessment, have at least six months experience, meet the financial "self-sufficiency" requirements, have lawful status if residing in a country other than your country of nationality and, in most cases, pass an interview before a Quebec officer.

  1. The point assessment awards various points for your education, language proficiency, age, experience, marital status, the number of children you have and "adaptability" (family members residing within Quebec, spouse's education, etc.). If you obtain "the points", you meet the point criteria.
  2. Unless an applicant has a valid sponsor in Quebec ("arranged employment") or has accumulated eligible experience in Quebec as a student and/or professional, only select Bachelor degree-level or technical-level professionals have a realistic chance of obtaining approval by Quebec. Valid Bachelor degree programs include accounting, nutrition, biology, business administration and management, chemistry, computer science, human resources, mathematics, mechanical engineering, nursing, probability and statistics, and social work - to name a few! In addition to the Bachelor degree programs, there are at least 50 vocational trades that qualify for points under the Quebec Skilled Worker program (including aviation, bricklaying, insurance and financial advisory, laboratory techniques, mining, plumbing, retail butchery and welding).
  3. Lastly, as the government of Quebec will not provide financial assistance or welfare to newly arrived immigrants, you must prove that you have enough money to support yourself and your family members.

Other factors may negatively impact a Quebec Skilled Worker application, or indeed, any of the Canadian visas. These factors include criminality such as a DUI record (including that of a family member), health, immigration status (if not a national of the country where you reside) and, most importantly, the quality of your Quebec Skilled Worker application.

While you may consider yourself to be eligible for the Quebec Skilled Worker program, the credibility of your supporting documentation may be lacking. The information on the government forms may be incomplete, wrong, or otherwise sloppy. Any of these factors may, at best, delay the processing of Canadian visas or, at worst, lead to a denial.

Checking your "points" via the use of "free" online "visas Canada" tools, including the Quebec government tool, is a good way to begin the process of assessment, but it is not, by far, a surefire method when it comes to actually securing your visa to Canada.

A free "visas Canada" assessment cannot critique your overall Quebec Skilled Worker application. It cannot judge the quality of an employer verification letter, match-up your duties to the corresponding eligible profession, prepare a statutory declaration, or rate a given answer to a specific question on a form. Moreover, a free assessment cannot help you prepare for an interview, consider filing strategy, determine the impact of immigration status on your application, or assess criminal and medical admissibility. The preparation of Canadian visas involves a lot more than points.

A number of Canadian immigration lawyers will say very little about your eligibility to apply for a Quebec Skilled Worker program until you have signed a retainer agreement or have deposited a large monetary installment. Even worse, some Canadian immigration attorneys knowingly take a case when the probability of success is low.

To truly assess whether you are eligible AND likely to receive a Quebec Skilled Worker visa or any of the Canadian visa, we urge you to set up a comprehensive and complete one-on-one consultation with a licensed practitioner to review all the relevant factors that impact your plans to settle in Canada, as well as to assess the probability of you actually receiving a visa.

Visas Canada - Quebec Skilled Worker (CSQ) : BRONZE LEVEL

Have our firm act as the Quebec immigration officer to highlight the errors or omissions in your government forms, advise any weaknesses on your Quebec Skilled Worker application and provide specific suggestions to make the application better.

If you have the time and patience to prepare your own Quebec Skilled Worker application and you have invested the time to learn about the Quebec Skilled Worker process (including the government forms and required documents needed to support your application) there is certainly no reason why you shouldn't be able to obtain limited legal advice to cover the "tough parts" of the application - for your peace-of-mind.

Our BRONZE service takes the place of an initial consultation and assumes that you are ready to file. It includes review of all your forms and supporting documentation (noting all errors/omissions on each government form), an assessment and calculation of your points, a determination of specific documents that need to be added or removed and an honest statement on the weaknesses of your Quebec Skilled Worker application, along with suggestions for improvement.

The BRONZE service does not include form write-up, interview preparation, or government representation. With the exception of the Federal Skilled Worker stream, this service is not available for other Canadian visas. Also, we do not include a cover letter outlining possible issues to the Quebec immigration ministry, access to the licensed practitioner is limited and we will not submit the application to the appropriate MICC/CIC office for you unless requested. The BRONZE service does not include assistance in the Federal stage after selection by Quebec. A credit of $50 will be given towards your legal fee should an initial consultation be held prior to choosing this level.

Visas Canada - Quebec Skilled Worker (CSQ) : SILVER LEVEL

The SILVER product is essentially for clients who want the benefit of a full assessment (similar to the BRONZE offering) and representation before the Ministére de l'immigration et des Communautés culturelles (MICC). The client will prepare his/her forms while the licensed practitioner and his team will provide expert advice to improve them.

Similar to the BRONZE tier, responsibility for completing the government forms and assembling all the supporting documents required for the Quebec Skilled Worker will belong to the Client. Our firm will highlight the errors/ omissions in your government forms and advise the weaknesses of your Quebec Skilled Worker application, as well as provide with specific suggestions on how to make it better. Not available in the BRONZE packet, the SILVER service includes a cover letter from the practitioner and a Quebec point assessment of your Quebec Skilled Worker application - just like our GOLD service.

The SILVER product is arguably the best value because you enjoy the same professional representation before all government agencies as our GOLD offering while receiving the benefit of a reduced price due to the completion of the Quebec Skilled Worker forms and assembling of all your supporting documentation on your own. At the same time, our firm will intervene on your behalf in the event of an issue or important milestone at any time during the filing process up until a decision.

The SILVER service does not include form write-up, resume/CV editorial, or interview preparation. With the exception of the Federal Skilled Worker stream, this service is not available for other Canadian visas. If an interview is required in the process, an interview preparation session may be requested over the phone or at our office (subject to availability) at additional cost. The SILVER service does not include assistance in the Federal stage after selection by Quebec. Access to the licensed practitioner is also limited under the SILVER package to two one-hour private sessions plus E-mail Q&A support until CIC decision. A full payment credit will be given towards your legal fee should an initial consultation be held prior to choosing this level.

Visas Canada - Quebec Skilled Worker(CSQ) : GOLD LEVEL

The GOLD product is our complete full service product for clients who will stop at nothing for quality and peace-of-mind.

All government forms, including both the Quebec "selection" stage (Certificat de Sélection du Quebec or CSQ) and the Federal forms in the visa-issuance stage, are prepared by the firm using a detailed questionnaire. A detailed checklist with gathering instructions will be provided to you so that supporting documents can be gathered by yourself and then assembled by the firm. We will provide specific suggestions to add/improve a given document to strengthen the application. The GOLD level provides assistance with the drafting/editing of employer verification letters, including the provision of sample letters tailored to your case. We assist with the preparation of all statutory declarations and affidavits that may be required to solidify your Quebec Skilled Worker application. Following the receipt of your CSQ we will provide support regarding your subsequent application to the Federal branch including guides for obtaining criminal background checks, requested medical admissibility reports, and subsequent visa issuance. With the exception of the Federal Skilled Worker stream, the GOLD service is not available for other Canadian visas.

Similar to the SILVER package, the firm will prepare a cover letter and Quebec point assessment at the submission of your packet. A full payment credit will be given towards your legal fee should an initial consultation be held prior to choosing this level.

Unlike the SILVER package, however, the GOLD offering includes resume/CV editorial, interview preparation and access (E-mail or phone) to your licensed practitioner, as well as any member of his staff, during business hours. A scheduled meeting in person or by phone may be held at any available time to discuss issues and concerns regarding your filing.

Visas Canada - Quebec Skilled Worker (CSQ) : PLATINUM PLUS - contact a representative for a quote!

Subject to availability, the PLATINUM PLUS package provides the same level of service as the GOLD offering with three important additions: (1) Unlimited access to your practitioner, including his mobile number, (2) priority access with the firm using all available resources and (3) any supplemental filing after submission as a result of a material life change which may adversely impact visa approval, such as an additional spouse, child, divorce or criminal report.

If we agree that your Quebec Skilled Worker case merits a PLATINUM PLUS application and is necessary, your application will go "on top of the pile" of our queuing order.

This program is not recommended for everybody and particularly not for straight-forward cases. PLATINUM PLUS is for clients who are truly in a hurry to submit an application to Quebec as all available firm resources are used on a priority basis until the application is ready for submission. A full payment credit will be given towards your legal fee should an initial consultation be held prior to choosing this level.
