Bio - Marc Laforce
Marc Laforce, CCIC ![]() Marc Laforce is one of only about a dozen licensed immigration consultants residing in the United States (and one of only two or three in the state of Texas). He has 20 years of business experience in managing consulting, telecommunications and service provider industries. While currently residing in the Dallas, Texas suburban area his family is based in the Provinces of Alberta and Quebec and he himself has resided all over the world. Mr. Laforce is fluent in both English and French, both official languages of Canada. After obtaining his required certification from the Canadian Society of Immigration Consultants (CSIC) in 2008, Mr. Laforce gradually expanded his business into a 4-person firm that caters to Canadian and foreign-based companies as well as individuals with immigration needs. He specializes in providing immigration services to Canadian and foreign-based companies needing to recruit, relocate or repatriate non-Canadian employees from abroad to lead offices and affiliates in Canada. In 2011 several changes to regulations prompted Mr. Laforce to change his certification. The first was completed in order to provide assistance to those wishing assistance with immigration needs into Quebec and the second was to transfer his federal certification from CSIC to the new regulatory body, Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC). Mr. Laforce serves a roster of outstanding clients, both large and small. In Canada, he provides consulting services to TIW (Montreal) and Telus (Burnaby). In the United States, Laforce advises AT&T (San Antonio, TX), Level 3 (Los Alamitos, CA), Nextphase (Anaheim, CA) and Northridge Group (Chicago, IL). Overseas, Laforce counsels a diverse clientele that includes China Netcom (Changsha, China), NSGS (Bruges, Belgium), GTS (Monaco), KDDI (Tokyo, Japan), NTT (Tokyo, Japan) and Telenor (Oslo, Norway). Prior to his present consulting practice, Mr. Laforce was Regional Director of Business Development for Telecel International in Johannesburg, South Africa. In this position, he developed and implemented business plans and market strategies for the sub-Saharan African region. Before his position with Telecel, Laforce was Manager of Business Development for Strategy Group of Belgacom in Brussels. He began his career at Teleglobe Canada (now Tata Communications) and advanced to Assistant Vice President in Europe (Frankfurt). Mr. Laforce holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (Political Science) from McGill University, Canada's highest ranking college according to Maclean's annual survey (2011).
