Kari was the first employee of Marc Laforce CCIC back in May 2009 when Mr. Laforce determined that his business was growing too fast to continue on his own. After walking into an empty room and being told to "fill it with what you need" she has grown the firm from two separate offices into a complete office of our own and four employees including all the physical and technological challenges involved in rapid growth. Mrs. Wood has been an asset to the firm ever since.

Kari's duties include overseeing the day-to-day activities of all staff members, maintaining the physical office environment, processing all accounting transactions and covering anything not handled by other staff members.

Married with an elementary school aged daughter, Kari's background is diverse, with experience in customer service, executive management assistance, theater show management, creative print design and bookkeeping, to name just a few. Her family is originally from Wisconsin and Michigan and she has been settled in Texas since she was a young girl. Her high school and college German language skills are rusty, but the research skills and thirst for knowledge honed since obtaining a a Bachelor of Arts degree from Austin College in Sherman, Texas with a concentration in History has served her well over the years.

Keeping up with her daughter's activities, when not making sure the office is running smoothly, occupies most of Kari's time. When she does have time she enjoys reading historical fiction, playing Angry Birds, completing crossword and jigsaw puzzles or watching an endless number of tv shows. Anytime the Texas Rangers Baseball Team or Dallas Stars Hockey Team are playing you will find her paying attention, if only to communicate easiest with her husband.
